In our “Coming to America” 2-part series (Season 2, E 7&8) we look at how Americans’ views on immigration are changing. While a majority still say immigrants strengthen the country, a growing number say immigrants burden the country by taking jobs, housing and health care support from tax paying citizens.
Immigration has become one of the nation’s most contentious political issues, but according to an article by William Frey of the Brookings Metro,” there is little discussion about what immigration means for the changing demography of our nation.” The bottom line?
