The South African potjie – an iconic three-legged cast iron pot and culinary workhorse — is making a comeback after generations of being significantly overlooked. According to an article in Malay mail, “the potjie has almost taken on the power of a magic cauldron.”  It’s most popular when used to make a hearty one-pot meal cooked over an outdoor fire, surrounded by people of all backgrounds who enjoy being together outdoors.
